Welcome to the Molecular Imaging Service Center and Cancer Functional Imaging Core at the Miller Research Building of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Noninvasive imaging has become a powerful tool in the investigation of various disease processes. Spectacular advances in MR, PET, SPECT, ultrasound, optical imaging, multiphoton microscope as well as other modalities now provide unparalleled opportunities for combined anatomic, functional and molecular imaging. The MRB Molecular Imaging Service Center and Cancer Functional Imaging Core provides state-of-the art small animal imaging equipment, including MRI, multiphoton microscope, PET, SPECT, Ultrasound, Optical imaging, X-ray and CT, to support the wide range of scientific projects within the diverse research community of the Johns Hopkins University and beyond. Trained technologists will assist investigators in the use of the facilities.
The Center is managed by an Oversight Committee drawn from members of the Department of Radiology, the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as other departments of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
